Part I: The Welcome — Tea & Introductions

Your evening begins as you step into a real home in a residential neighborhood, areas most travelers never see. You will be welcomed with a warm cup of tea and informal introductions. This is a relaxed moment to settle in, meet your host family, and feel the genuine hospitality of a local household.

Part II: The Feast — Family-Style Dining

Sit down at the family table as the dishes arrive in traditional family-style waves: cold starters, hearty mains, comforting soup, and fresh greens. Your hosts will explain what each dish is, where the ingredients were sourced, and how their family has prepared these recipes across generations. There is always more food than the table seems able to hold.

Part III: The Exchange — Life & Culture Conversation

The highlight of home dining is the conversation that flows over the meal. All host families speak English, allowing you to ask the everyday questions you cannot ask a tour guide. Discover what daily life in the city is really like, how families shop and celebrate, and share stories from your own background before the evening concludes.
